well for starters let me tell you about a member of my family
afters yaers of hard drinking he woke one morning and could not rember anything that had happend in th last 10 yrs he did not know where he lived or anything the Dr. called it warnickes and all of his short term memory was gone he now is in acare home at the age of 46

fron what i know it can take about a week and if you are trying to detox you can go to a hospital and they cann give you something for that. detoxing can be really bad on you and i don’t recomend that you do it on your own. you can have audio and visual hallucinations and tremours and you can also get very nausous. they can give you librium amoung other things to help with all this. it is not an easy thing to do. so i definaltly recomend going somewhere where they can help you through the detox part if not help you the rest of the way. hope this helps
