Never allow your children to be exposed to someone who drinks excessively, regardless of their relationship to you. It is unfortunate that your mother refuses to seek help; however, this is not a problem you can solve. Recovery is only possible when your mother admits she is an alcoholic and voluntarily seeks help. Unless your mother is sober, your children should not be with her under any circumstance.

I wouldn't let my son anywhere near her. The thing is, you can't change her or force her to change. I think perhaps you should find an al-anon group in your area. I know that you are in a lot of pain over this. There, you will meet others who have had to deal with the same thing and you can get the support you need. Also, you can call her doctor and inform him of her drinking but she may just find another doctor and not tell you about it.

<a href="http://www.detoxcleansetips.com/category/foot-detox">foot pads</a>

Sad but the only thing you can do is protect your family. Asking her to choose between the bottle and family - the bottle will win.

You can't make her get help, and her husband isn't helping any either. Just be ready for the outcome.

I dated a woman who was in AA and secretly drinking still. I kept telling her that I would leave her if she didn't stop. She didn't stop. I left. A year later she drank herself to death.

It was a sad outcome for such a beautiful person, but that was unfortunately the choice she made. The only thing I could do about it is not let myself be dragged down by it along with her.

I cry for her and the loss her family had to suffer, but if Your mother doesn't get help on her own - there is nothing you can do about it. At least nothing I know of.

Good Luck with your new baby, and keep you and yours safe.
